It’s an interesting process when a company decides to change it’s name. At Marc Laucks and Company we made that decision a few years ago. We wanted a name that spoke more to what we do as a company and the customers we serve. It’s been a journey, exploring names and honing in on what it is that we do that helps our clients the most. We arrived at the name “True Leaf” and wanted to share a few of those thoughts here, to explain more about what true leaves are and what they stand for in terms of our business.
What is a “True Leaf”?
The first visible leaves to emerge from a seed are called cotyledons.
Cotyledons contain only the energy stored with the seed. They give the seed the initial boost it needs as a growing plant.
But these cotyledons lack the ability to sustain the plant beyond their initial emergence. They are a store of energy for the plant, but won’t develop into the photosynthesis generating leaves the plant needs for more growth.
This is where true leaves enter the picture.
True leaves are the first leaves capable of converting sunlight into energy and the food the plant needs to grow vigorously and sustain itself.
Connecting True Leaves to Business
When a business is started and emerges onto the marketplace, it is driven by the energy and passion stored with its principals – the founders, inventors, creators.
After a period of time it’s normal for that burst of energy to run a little dry.
Like the plant, your business needs true leaves.
One way to recharge that store of energy and passion is to reach out for the support of experts who have walked in your shoes. It’s a necessary and vital part of the growth of a business. Experts can provide inspiration, guidance, objectivity, and directions.
These experts are the true leaves for your business.
At True Leaf we are part of that process for you.
We are “true leaves”, here to support your growth and development as a business.
We are here to help you convert your vision into reality – a strong, self-sustaining business.
