About the Project
Have you ever had the experience where someone told you that your logo files “has issues”?
Or have you submitted your logo for an ad in a magazine or program, only to be disappointed with the way it displayed in the final printed piece?
These issues can include bitmapping or rasterization. Unless you have graphic design software you might not realize your logo file has problems. The logo file extensions can be confusing, including which file to use for which purpose. Questions you may have could include:
- “Do I send them the .png or .jpg or .gif?” or
- “Why can’t I see the .ai file? Is that something I need? Maybe I should just delete it?”
- Pro tip, don’t delete the .ai file. You can’t see it because you don’t have the software. Ask your graphic designer about it first.
This project solved a very specific issue for one of our clients. The issue with the logo file was uncovered by one of our graphic designers while developing marketing collateral for the client. The fix was easy, did not take much time, and was affordable. The client originally had only a PDF file of their logo (.pdf). Our finished product provided them with the corrected logo file in all needed file types of their logo (.jpg files in several sizes, .png file, .pdf, and .ai file).
If you feel there could be an issue with your logo files, contact us and let’s clear up that question while also ensuring you have the correct logo files and understand the purpose for each one.
