Websites – New or Redesigned
When clients come to us to talk about their websites, they often share the same, common scenario with us about their experience with their project. Let us know if the following story sounds familiar:
Company A decides it’s time for a new website. It could be that a new design is needed, it could be that a marketing team has sold you on any number of reasons for why you should replace your existing website, it could be that you are launching a new business.
Whatever the reason, someone from Company A starts researching website development firms to assist with this endeavor. They might seek recommendations from their colleagues, gather proposals, and get project quotes. A vendor is selected and the project begins.
The vast majority of the time what follows next is a project that takes longer than expected together with disappointment about the outcomes on the part of the client.
We know. Because we’ve worked with countless clients who have come to us and told us this same story.
We’re interested in a better experience for clients. We’ve identified the common cause of this frustration. Typically a skilled project manager, versed in the web development process, is missing from the team.
Company A doesn’t know how to create content for the web, they thought the company they hired would do it. The company they hired specializes in web design and development, but rarely in content marketing and information architecture.
We want to note that there ARE companies that deliver the full package. But for clients in our markets it’s all too often that they don’t connect with these companies.
